Phenacovolva poppei
(Fehse, 2000)

Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park where they have been recorded at Split Solitary and South Solitary Islands. Recorded from South Africa to Australia, Philippines, Japan and Hawaiian Islands.

Ecological Notes: A deep water species found on black corals of the genus Antipathes upon which it feeds.

Additional Notes: The mantle is white with red brown vermiform markings and white tipped papillae. Both animals pictured growing on the same host black coral. Grows to 38 mm.
