Common Name: Coral Crayfish
Distribution: Common throughout the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-West Pacific region and western Atlantic. In Australia recorded from Western Australia, Queensland south to southern New South Wales and including Lord Howe Island.
Ecological Notes: Frequents coral and rocky reefs, clear or slightly turbid water. Depth to at least 18 m.
Additional Notes: Nocturnal, usually seen under rocks, coral slabs or in crevices. Small feelers have dark brown and white bands, legs are dark with longitudinal white stripes. Grows to body length of 30 cm.
