Distribution: Rare in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-West Pacific. In Australia recorded from northern Western Australia, Queensland and northern New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Frequents sandy habitat, where it burrows down to a depth approximately its own length. Found in depths of at least 165 m.
Additional Notes: All terebids are carnivorous and thought to prey on worms. Grows to at least 40 mm in length.
