Common Name: Crested Oystergoby
Distribution: Common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Recorded from central Queensland to central New South Wales only.
Ecological Notes: Found in estuarine and brackish waters, usually in shallow oyster zones, retreating under rocks or into holes when threatened. Specimen pictured photographed in 3 m.
Additional Notes: Dark in colour with orange red stripes on body, blue spots on face and body. Shy and difficult to observe, grows to 12 cm.
