Crenavolva striatula
(G.B. Sowerby II, 1828)

Distribution: Uncommon to rare in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-West Pacific region. In Australia known from records in northern Western Australia and from the central coast of Queensland south to the New South Wales border.

Ecological Notes: Feeds on gorgonian corals.

Additional Notes: In common with other species of this family, lives and feeds on various types of corals, commonly soft corals, sea fans, sea whips and horny gorgonian corals as pictured here. Uncommon to rare in New South Wales, grows to around 12 mm.
