Distribution: Only moderately common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Found throughout the Indo-West Pacific. In Australia from central West Australia to southern Queensland.
Ecological Notes: Frequents coral and rocky reef.
Additional Notes: Shell solid, spire of medium height with slightly concave sides. Yellowish exterior with fine reddish brown longitudinal lines, two broad black to dark brown bands, one at anterior end, the other bisecting the remaining space. Grows to about 80 mm.
