Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Found throughout Indo-West Pacific, known from the North West Shelf region of Western Australia, the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, south to northern New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Frequents sandy and coral habitat.
Additional Notes: Solid shell with low spire, aperture straight and narrow. Body whorl pale, grey or yellow, with many spiral rows of small irregular dark spots. Thick matted yellow periostracum. Grows to 200 mm.
