Chicoreus denudatus
(Perry, 1811)

Distribution: Moderately common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Endemic to Australia; Rockhampton, Queensland to Westernport, Victoria, and northern Tasmania.

Ecological Notes: Occurs intertidally among rocks in muddy environments, and down to about 100 m. Common subtidally.

Additional Notes: Possibly feed on bivalves, including oysters, mussels and scallops. Grows to 60 mm.
