Common Name: Whip Goby
Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific, from the Red Sea to the Hawaiian Islands, north to southern Japan, south to the Great Barrier Reef. In Australia has been recorded from northern Western Australia and the Great Barrier Reef.
Ecological Notes: Frequents seaward reefs and dropoffs, areas prone to currrent. Depth to 45 m.
Additional Notes: Only seen on host seawhip, Cirripathes anguina. Semi transparent body with faint bars, difficult to see on host due to colouration and small size. Grows to 40 mm.
