Bryaninops loki
(Larson, 1985)

Common Name: Loki Whip Goby

Distribution: Common in Solitary Islands Marine Park. Widespread throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific. In Australia recorded from Exmouth in Western Australia, northern Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef, south to northern New South Wales and Lord Howe Island.

Ecological Notes: Only known to live on seawhips and gorgonian corals.

Additional Notes: Small species which is virtually transparent, taking on the colour of its host. Grows to 30 mm.
