Atagema intecta
(Kelaart, 1858)

Distribution: Locally common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Found throughout the tropical Indo-West Pacific. In Australia known from southern Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Ecological Notes: Found inter-tidally to a depth of 18 m on gravelly edges of reef. Feeds on sponges.

Additional Notes: A medium sized dorid with a mantle studded with numerous compound pustules. Colour is variable from brown to black with an irregular mid-dorsal cream line (sometimes almost absent). There are usually microscopic white spots covering the mantle, gills and rhinophores. Grows to 80 mm.
