The winners of this second Coffs Coast Sea Slug Census were Elizabeth Hardaker taking two prizes for the most documented species found and best photograph and Craig and Alex Lewis for the most interesting species.

Craig and Alex Lewis’s most interesting species was chosen because it is not commonly found in the area and provides an excellent photographic reference.

Generous prizes for the winners were donated from Jetty Dive Coffs Harbour with $200 worth of gear and a gift voucher and from Dive Quest a double dive. SURG greatly appreciates their support.
Despite weather poor conditions 27 participants found 94 species. The surveys were conducted between Minnie Water and Sawtell with three boat trips to North West Solitary, South Solitary and Split Solitary Islands and along the rocky shores and estuaries.
