Members of SURG extend their thanks to Toormina students for donating $400 to the club.
The Year 8 science students at Toormina High conducted a major study on water quality and management in the environment. As part of their presentation to parents the Student Representative Council held a fundraising sausage sizzle which raised $400. The students decided that this would be a great opportunity to give back locally to an environmental group and chose SURG as an excellent candidate for the funding.
Naturally SURG were delighted to accept the funding and will decide at the next committee meeting how to make good use of the funds, perhaps for some equipment to conduct further research.
