Thuridilla carlsoni

Distribution: Possibly common depending on food source in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Worldwide distribution unknown.

Ecological Notes: Most species of this family remain undetected in their algal habitats. Depth to at least 15 m.

Additional Notes: Cream body with clusters of dark green marks, cream rhinophores with green pattern at the base and with brownish tips. Plakobranchids are small opistobranchs, without shells, but with prominent rhinophores, elongate bodies and wing-like parapodia (a side lobe that extends outwards from the foot). Grows to at least 21 mm.
