Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the West Indian Ocean, East Africa, Madagascar, the Phillipines and the Central Pacific Ocean. In Australia recorded from Scott Reef in the Timor Sea to southern Queensland.

Ecological Notes: Frequents reef and reef crests, under coral and rubble during daylight, emerging to feed at night. Depth to 30 m.

Additional Notes: Grass green to yellow with dark edged white spots on disc. Disc diameter to 60 mm, arm length up to 200 mm.
