Common Name: Pretty Xanthid Crab
Distribution: Status unknown in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Probable distribution throughout the Indo-Central/West Pacific, north to Japan. In Australia also recorded from Brunswick River region in northern New South Wales, the Great Barrier Reef, Cape York, central Western Australia and Christmas Island.
Ecological Notes: Found on hard bottom, rock and amongst rubble.
Additional Notes: It is characterised by reticulate fine red lines on the carapace with the anterior area of the dorsal surface being somewhat granular. The legs, with the superior margins containing a fine crest, are marked with transverse red bands.
