Distribution: 

Moderately common within the Solitary Islands Marine Park, but probably at the northern end of its range. Endemic to New South Wales where it may be locally common.

Ecological Notes: Found in cooler water to a depth of 25 m, but more commonly shallower. Feeds on sponges.

Additional Notes: Extremely variable in body colour ranging from yellowish white to brown, and also gills and rhinophores, ranging from pale to brown/black. Concentric lines edge the mantle which may also be patterned/speckled. Grows to 70 mm.
