VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Clean-up activities adjacent to Coffs Creek Sunday 10 June.
The survey is the 6th of 8 (the end is in sight), and the 2nd survey since the Container Deposit Scheme commenced in December 2017. If you can spare a few hours this it would be greatly appreciated. More hands make light work!
You should wear a long-sleeved shirt, light long pants (or wet weather overpants) and appropriate footwear for walking around in mangroves. If you have gumboots they would be great. Definitely a hat or cap of some kind. You might also want to throw in a rain jacket. I’ll bring along some insect repellent (if you have your own that you would prefer to use please do so) and sunscreen but try to minimise any bare flesh. I’ll also provide gloves for handling the trash. You might want to also bring along a water bottle and some nibbles to have between transects.
We will meet at 8:30am at the Edgar Street boat ramp, which is behind Dolphin Marine Magic. Low tide is at approx. 11:10am, so if you could ensure that you are there at 8:30am for a quick briefing then it would be much appreciated.
If you can volunteer let me know via the email address below. Importantly, if you know of anyone else who’d be happy to help out for a few hours then get them to come along. Forward this email to them with my email address and ask them to contact me.

Once again thanks for taking the time to consider this request. You efforts over the past 15 months have been greatly appreciated.
