- Dave Harasti's Underwater Photo Gallery - hasn't been updated in a few years, but a good pictorial resource for marine life primarily in Nelson Bay.

- Fishes of Australia - Hosted by Museums Victoria, has thousands of marine and freshwater species, with image galleries and identification notes.
- Sea Slug Forum - an Australian Museum site where you can find information on sea slugs including nudibranchs, bubble-shells, sea hares and side-gilled slugs. Includes species lists, pictures, etc.
- Reef Life Survey - Australian and International fish and mobile invertebrate species images and identification notes. Huge searchable data base of species abundance and distribution. Valuable research tool.
