Common Name: Umbrella Shell
Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Recorded from the southern mainland states of Australia and Lord Howe Island
Ecological Notes: Found on rocky reef where it feeds on sponges Pseudoceratina sp. Is diurnally active. Depth from intertidal to 100 m.
Additional Notes: One of the few side-gilled sea slugs to retain its external shell. Lays a bright yellow egg coil. Bottom photograph shows subject on possible food source sponge. Grows to 40 mm.
