Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-west Pacific region. In Australia recorded from the coastline of Western Australia from Bunbury to Onslow in the north, and from Townsville in northern Queensland south to Bermagui in New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Recovered from depths to 150 m, uncommonly sighted by scuba divers.
Additional Notes: Shell solid and heavy, exterior white or fawn, colemullar shield and outer lip white or pink, deep interior white, columellar and interior of outer lip orange. Grows to about 230 mm.
