Distribution: Common throughout the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-Central Pacific region. In Australia recorded from Western Australia, across the tropical north to Queensland and south to Sydney in New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Usually observed in pairs on corals and some anemones in shallow reef communities.
Additional Notes: Brown colouration with large white blotches edged in blue. Typically holds tail vertical, frequently in large groups associated with anemones, often near edges of hosts. Female considerably larger than the male. Grows to about 20 mm.
