Distribution: 

Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. The genus has been recorded from Exmouth in Western Australia across the tropical north to northern New South Wales on the east coast of Australia.

Ecological Notes: 

Frequents rocky and rubble areas and muddy, low profile, reefs. Depth to 40 m.

Additional Notes: 

Undescribed species, light tan with symmetrical rows of dark round spots, dimples and darker banding. Believed to feed on sponges. Grows to 140 mm.
