Distribution: Common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. General distribution through the Indo-West Pacific. In Australia recorded from south western Western Australia, across the north through the Northern Territory, the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland south to Twofold Bay in New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Found intertidally on rocky shores, rock platforms. Specimen pictured discovered in tidal rock pool.
Additional Notes: Shell small, solid with fine and numerous teeth. Dorsum blue-grey with very fine brown flecks. Brown dorsal blotch variable in size from large to almost non existent. Base sides and teeth off-white to pale fawn. Distinct fine brown marginal spots, extremities brown on either side, fawn in the centre. Mantle transparent greyish with whitish coloured papillae. Grows to 23 mm.
