Note conical operculum and zooanthids amongst which this specimen was found.

Distribution:

Moderately common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Indo-West Pacific distribution from South Africa to the Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia. Also New Zealand. In Australia from Rottnest Is in Western Australia across the tropical north to eastern Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Ecological Notes:

Found in shallow water, usually in association with zooanthids upon which it feeds.

Grows to 1.5cm diameter.
