Rare in the Solitary Islands Marine Park where it is found at outer islands and deeper reefs. Annulobalcis sp. has been found in Vietnam and Japan. In Australia also reported from the Brunswick River in northern New South Wales.
Found only on the base of crinoids on rocky reef.
An Ectoparasitic gastropod, this animal is found on the base of its host, usually dark coloured feather stars. The brown and yellow markings seen in the photographs are the colours of the mantle seen through the almost transparent shell. Specimens in lower photograph around 10mm long.
