Procalpurnus semistriatus
(Pease, 1863)

Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. In Australia recorded from northern Western Australia and the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, south to northern New South Wales.

Ecological Notes: Found in association with large soft corals, genera Sarcophyton and Sinularia. Depth range tidal to at least 80 m.

Additional Notes: Small ovulid with uniformly white shell. Mantle brownish with white and larger black spots. Foot covered in small brown or black spots, distinguishing it from similar Procalpurnus lacteus. Grows to 20 mm.
