Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Limited distribution throughout the Western Pacific region. Recorded from northern New Zealand, the Kermadec Islands and New Caledonia. In Australia recorded from southern Queensland and northern New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Inhabits sandy rubble areas, adjacent to rocky reef. Depth range 10 – 30 m.
Additional Notes: Shell with almost flat-sided whorls, sculptured with punctate deeply incised spiral grooves. Colour ivory, with a spiral series of rusty-brown dots. Feeds on polychaete worms. Grows to 51 mm.
