Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Recorded from the Indo-west Pacific region, including Indonesia, the Phillipines and Japan. In Australia recorded from NW Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Ecological Notes: Found predominantly on Mopsella spp. gorgonian sea fans, on inshore and offshore reef.

Additional Notes: Grows to about 30mm.
