Paragobiodon lacunicolus
(Kendall and Goldsborough, 1911)

Common Name: Blackfin Coralgoby

Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-Pacific region: from the Seychelles and Chagos Islands to the Line and Tuamoto Islands, north to the Ryuku Islands, south to Lord Howe Island, throughout Micronesia. In Australia recorded from around Exmouth in Western Australia, the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland south to northern New South Wales and including Lord Howe Island.

Ecological Notes: Lives exclusively among the branches of Pocillopora damicornis.  Depth to 20 m.

Additional Notes: Head pinkish to orange, body colour white to pale yellow, fins black except for pale pelvic fins. Grows to 3 cm.
