Seasonally common on food source in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Generally Tropical Indo-Pacific distribution. Migrant to the Mediterranean Sea. In Australia recorded from all states including Tasmania.

Ecological Notes:

Found on food source, hydroid Halocordyle disticha.

Additional Notes:

Red lines along central dorsal surface and below cerrata may be continuous, broken as pictured here, or absent altogether.
