Bornella hermanni (Angas, 1864)
Possibly common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distribution through the Indo-West Pacific region generally. Recorded from Jervis Bay and Twofold Bay in southern New South Wales.
Known to feed on hydroids, usually found in shallow intertidal waters on rocky shores.
Specimen pictured, around 10 mm long, found in rock pool. Recognised by the reticulated pattern across the body, rhinophores and cerrata. Small size and preferred habitat ensures this species not often encountered.
