Uncommon to rare in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distribution Indo-West Pacific. Recorded from Western Australia, southern Queensland and northern New South Wales
Frequents rocky and coral reef, depths from rock pools and intertidal to subtidal. Feeds on soft coral Sinularia sp.
Variable colouration, from pale to dark brown, often with a network of large polygonal based pustules. Grows to 60 mm.
