Rare in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Known from northern New South Wales and southern Queensland, Lord Howe Island and New Caledonia.
Found on reef between 6 and 30 m depth. Feeds on sponges.
This spectacular dorid has a yellowish mantle with distinctive yellow and white bands on the undulating margins, separated by a thin red band. Lays white egg ribbons. Grows up to 70 mm.
