Distribution: Sometimes common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the tropical Indo-West Pacific region. In Australia known from the east coast of Queensland and northern New South Wales, including Lord Howe Island.

Ecological Notes: Frequents reef areas to a depth of at least 15 m.

Additional Notes: Uniformly vivid, translucent yellow body, rhinophores and gills, with a dark red marginal band on the mantle. The body is elongate, the foot extending some considerable distance behind the mantle. There is often a constriction midway between the rhinophores and gills, giving the animal a characteristic hourglass shape. Grows to about 15 mm long.
