Common Name: Yellow Finned Leatherjacket
Distribution: Abundant in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed within the Southwest Pacific region: Eastern Australia. Recorded from southern Queensland to eastern Victoria.
Ecological Notes: Frequents coastal and offshore rocky reefs and estuaries. Depth to 40 m.
Additional Notes: Variable colouration, scribbles on body, blue lines around body circumference and the caudal fin pattern identify species. Usually solitary, feeds on small crustaceans, molluscs, worms and other invertebrates. Grows to 40 cm.
