Distribution: Common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-Pacific: from Sri Lanka to Polynesia; north to Japan and Hawaii. In Australia recorded from the Queensland and northern New South Wales coast.

Ecological Notes: Specimens photographed in rocky coral substrate at a depth of around 10 m.

Additional Notes: Shell fusiform, anterior canal straight and reasonably long. Body whorl rounded with heavy nodules on the shoulders. Shell colour whitish with brown patches between the nodules and on the canal, aperture and columella white. Operculum orange brown. Previously known as Fusinus nicobaricus. Grows to 9 cm.
