Distribution: Sometimes very common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Known from the western Pacific region, Japan and Indonesia.
Ecological Notes: Found in shallow reef areas, some times in large breeding associations. Depth to at least 15 m.
Additional Notes: Black colouration with white spots, plus white band on head with blue and orange tips. Feed on acoel flatworms which are often found on hard and soft corals, and detected by the sensory bristles under the head, see bottom photograph. Previously known as Chelidonura inornata. Grows to around 45 mm.
