Distribution: Common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-Pacific region. In Australia recorded from around Geraldton in Western Australia, across the tropical north, the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef in Queensland and south to Bermagui in southern New South Wales.

Ecological Notes: Frequents coral and rocky reef, specimens photographed at a depth of 8 m.

Additional Notes: The shell is a deep honey or salmon colour on the dorsal surface with darker band, a fawn underside and purple teeth. The mantle is mottled with fawn and brown blotches and has long grey or white papillae. Shells often display significant growth marks along the dorsum. Grows to 60 mm.
