Distribution: Rare in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Recorded from Japan and Australia. In Western Australia recorded from Dunsborough to the Houtman Abrolhos Islands, in eastern Australia from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland south to Sydney in New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Specimen photographed on rocky reef. Depth to at least 12 m. Feeds on encrusting bryozoans.
Additional Notes: The small translucent body is covered in bright orange spots. Around the edge of the body are a ring of spherical stalked tubercles and both the body and the tubercles are heavily spiculate. The tips of the rhinophores and the edges of the gills are spotted with orange. Grows to at least 18 mm, specimen here 4 mm long.
