Distribution: Common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-West Pacific region; from the Red Sea, and east Africa, the Philippines and southern Japan, south to Australia. In Australia recorded from north eastern Western Australia, the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef in Queensland south to northern New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Frequents coral and rocky reef habitat. Specimen pictured photographed in 20 m depth.
Additional Notes: High spired shell with angular nodules on spiral ridges. Colour cream to pale with darker markings, or dark brown, interior white. Grows to about 70 mm.
