Distribution: Previously unknown from the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Only known from South Africa, Japan and Hawaii. This is the first documented sighting in Australia.
Ecological Notes: Specimen pictured was photographed in intertidal rock pool with predominantly encrusting coral and algal habitat.
Additional Notes: The pale mantle has rows of blue-purple dashes arranged in 4-7 rows between thin white lines. An orange band, sometimes very faint, borders the mantle and the foot has a bluish border. The white gills have an orange tip and an orange patch near the base, the rhinophores are transparent white with an orange band towards the tip. Grows to at least 30 mm.
