Distribution: Common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. This family is well represented across the Indo-Pacific region, seemingly more common in sub-tropical and tropical regions.

Ecological Notes: Known to inhabit intertidal areas where it buries in sand in high tidal pools on exposed reef platforms.

Additional Notes: Body colour is salmon with black spotting. The rear of the foot is rounded, the parapodia are low and barely cup the very fragile shell. The head shield and mantle are conspicuously marked with dark and salmon pink spots, the eyes are prominent and close together. Cryptic colouration and small size ensures these animals are rarely encountered. Specimen pictured approximately 5 mm long.
