Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the western Pacific, there are records from China, Japan, Hawaii, Singapore and the Philippines. In Australia known from Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. May be moderately common throughout its range.

Ecological Notes: Specimen pictured discovered in intertidal rock pool. Generally found in shallow subtidal rocky shores, depth range from intertidal to at least 6m.

Additional Notes: Recognised by the white background colour with orange spots, it usually has an orange border to the head region of the mantle while the posterior has an orange median line or orange tip. Gills are translucent white with faint orange lines, the rhinophores are white with orange tips. A carnivorous species, is an aggressive predator of other soft bodied nudibranchs. Grows to 20 mm, specimen pictured approximately 8 mm long.
