Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Recorded from, but not common in, Indonesia, Vietnam, Africa, Australia, (east and west coasts). On Australia’s east coast known as far south as Port Stephens.

Ecological Notes: Frequents rocky reef, including tidal rock pools, where it feeds on sponges. Depth to at least 24 m.

Additional Notes: The mantle is completely smooth, either white or cream and has a red outer and yellow inner border. The rhinophore clubs are translucent red with white edging to the lamellae, and the 6 gills, white tinged with red, are arranged circularly around the anus. Grows to around 40 mm.
