Distribution: Rare in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Known from the Indo-West Pacific region, north to Japan.
Ecological Notes: Found on rocky reef substrate, depth to at least 15 m. Thought to feed on sponges, including Spongia oceania.
Additional Notes: A spectacular species with a brown mantle edged with white frilly margin. The margin is itself edged with yellow/brown. Grows to around 50 mm.
