Globovula cavanaghi
(Iredale, 1931)

Distribution: Rare in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed in the West Pacific region from Indonesia to Australia. In Australia recorded from Shark Bay in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland south to Bulli in southern New South Wales.

Ecological Notes: Found on the host soft coral, Dendronepthya sp. where it feeds and lays egg masses.

Additional Notes: Mantle pinkish with tightly clustered dark edged red spots, white unbranched filaments. Siphon red, foot white with red stripes or blotches. Grows to around 13 mm in length.
