Distribution: Uncommon in Solitary Islands Marine Park. Found throughout the tropical Indo-West Pacific region.
Ecological Notes: Location depends on its food source, but it is usually found deeper than this specimen which was photographed in an intertidal rockpool. Depth to at least 15 m.
Additional Notes: Colour of this aeolid can vary from apricot to pink depending on its food source, which appears to be opistobranch spawn. Known food sources include Hexabranchus sanguineus eggs and egg masses of Aplysia species. Circular pattern behind onion bulb type rhinophores characterise this aeolid. Grows to around 20 mm.
