Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Known from the tropical Indo-West Pacific and tropical central west coast of America. In Australia recorded from the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland south to northern New South Wales and including Middleton and Elizabeth Reefs.
Ecological Notes: Pictured here on its host coral Pocillopora sp.
Additional Notes: Members of this family live in close association with corals and other coelenterates. These snails have no radula and probably feed by sucking out juices or mucous from their hosts. Specimen in photograph around 25 mm long.
