Distribution: Common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-West Pacific region. In Australia recorded from Geraldton in Western Australia, across the tropical north, south to Sydney New South Wales on the east coast, and including Lord Howe Island.

Ecological Notes: Frequents areas of mangroves, rocky shores and soft sediments. Intertidal and subtidal to a depth of 10 m.

Additional Notes: Claws and legs greenish-black with yellow patches on the fingers of claws and legs. Eyestalks brown. Carapace length of up to 8 mm, total length up to 20 mm.
